kingsley asked: We have a 1930’s antique car and bought one (1) old California license plate at a swap meet (Long Beach, CA). But we need two (2) to be able to register them with the DMV to put on our car. Does anyone know of a company that has the ability to actually make us a matching plate? Thank you.

Norma Jean M asked: It was red with white stripes.
It’s always been my dream car.
I would love to know:
What that classic kind of car is called.
Where I can find one near Okemos, Michigan.
What are my chances of finding one.
And how much they would cost.
I’m not looking for an actual antique but one that looks antiqueish.
Please & Thank you for the help. ( :

neovex123 asked: As you can probobly tell by now, I don’t actually own my own car yet, but to add to my last question, If I did get an antique police car would it be legal to put a light and siren and police decals on it as long as it was clearly outdated? I’m talking about taking a 58 ford fairlane and doing a seni-complete to complete restoration, making it look like an antique police car. The 58 Fords have to be the most beautiful police cars ever made.

.. .this can’t be good asked: A mother’s worse nightmare and that dreaded phone call. “Mama, come quick. I’ve been in a bad wreck”. I don’t even remember the phone ringing – just “where are you and are you hurt?”. It was a classic antique car – but very unimportant. He’s 18, and never had a ticket or wreck. He turned in front of oncoming truck; he misjudged her speed. The speed limit was 35, and it took her 190 feet to stop after impact. The state patrol said her speed was at least 45, but he couldn’t cite her because he couldn’t prove it. State Patrol says it wouldn’t have mattered if she was running 100, he still has to yield right of way, even if she’s breaking the law. So, he did fail to yield but had she been running the speed limit he would have had time to make the turn. Witnesses agree. Is it worth arguing the point?
No, I’m not making excuses. I clearly stated he failed to yield, but her speed was a contributing factor to the accident. The insurance company will defend any suit for damages, and like I said I couldn’t possibly care less about the car. I just wondered what the thoughts were about fighting the ticket.
He did fail to yield, but she was speeding. He was turning in our church parking lot, so all the witnesses are going to be very one sided in their opinion.

Gregg Hall asked: If you are one of those people looking for an antique car shows then you are not alone there are so many people out there that are probably looking for the same thing you are you just need to find out where they are located. You will find out that there are all kinds of car shows and they happen all around the world you just need to find out which ones you can make it to. All you need to do is either go online or look in newspapers for car shows they even have them at schools now so if you go to school you will know when they are going to have a car show at your school.
You can probably find a lot of car shows online if you really look, there are all kinds of sites that you can look at one of the best sites that you can look at for cars is cardomain.com. You will be able to find anything that you need related to cars at this site. Once you find the car show that you are looking for online it is easy to get the directions because they are on your computer screen. You just write them down or print them out and you are ready to go to the car show of your dreams.
The other option that you might have if you have car magazines laying around or a good subscription is to look through antique car magazines. The magazines will let you know about upcoming events and will let you know where they will be located. You can probably order a subscription if you do not already have one. You will most likely be able to find your car show all you need to do is look. You can look online or at school, you can even look through magazines and probably find info about a good car show that is coming up. You just need to look and you will find what you seek.
The last option that you will probably have is to ask antique car collectors where the car shows are. They will know where every event is because they are probably in it. If you have a neighbor that has an old antique car then all you need to do is ask him or her and they will let you know where the car show is and if they don’t know where it is they probably know someone that does know where the car shows are and can probably find out for you. So all you need to do is talk to people and you will find out the info that you need. If you still cannot find what you are looking for then I don’t know what to tell you other then go online and do a huge search for antique car shows in your area. So just go have a gander and see what you can find.
Joe
